I spent most of July 2011 in Argentina covering the Copa America, the world’s oldest international football competition.

In addition to writing many stories for the AP wire on the competition, I live-tweeted matches, posted photos and other comments on Twitter, and created an audio slideshow about the tournament’s first round — an experimentation into what alternative products the agency can offer its online clients.

The slideshow was part of an online interactive used by some clients. As of August 2011, it could still be seen here. (Go to the “A Cuartos” tab for the slideshow.)
